UPDATE:
In the best traditions of the Democratic Party, the longlist of names suggested on the Forum resulted in a wide distribution of votes and no clear endorsement across the group (see chart below).
To help clarify the signal, I suggest that we vote again today on the following poll:
Earth Issues (26%) and Global Sensemaking (21%) were the two leading candidates from the first round of polling, and I have included a "Neither" option in case the underlying signal from the group is "start again".
I hope that this is a constructive and fair response to the voting pattern observed yesterday—but if you disagree please don't hesitate to raise this below.
Voting on the second round closes today at 11:59 pm GMT (Saturday 10th May).
FIRST ROUND RESULTS:
NOTES:
(1) You may vote for one option only in this round of voting.
(2) I suggest that we use the .net extension (if available) and secure/redirect the .com .org extensions (where possible).
(3) If the proposer of the winning name is happy for me to do so, I'll purchase the name on the group's behalf immediately after voting closes, and aim to set up the new domain over the weekend. If the proposer of the winning name would prefer to do this his/herself just let me know and we'll co-ordinate over the weekend.
(4) I suggest that we switch from private to public group status with the adoption of the new name / URL. If anyone objects to this please flag this in a comment below.
