Revitalize our community? Here’s an idea!

We come together as a small group at a suitably designed workshop; and we plan and sensemake and create together.

More concretely: I propose to join us at the Third International Workshop on Knowledge Federation, September 30–October 3 in Dubrovnik, Croatia; possibly to co-create this event together.

We can offer:

• An attractive venue in a Renaissance city, lovely meeting locale at the Inter-University Centre with a park extending all the way to the sea, exclusive use of Villa Doda premises and garden for gettogethers and especially late-night conversations, lunches in a gourmet local-food restaurant...
• A socio-technical machinery, perpetually re-created, by which collective sensemaking is built into new systemic solutions for key areas of knowledge work (this time focusing on health, journalism/public informing, research, governance and education); a way to put those solutions into actual practice (‘systemic innovation’—Knowledge Federation’s reason for existence)
• An international course, delivered through the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik, through which we may spread our skills and ideas, and pass them on to the next generation
