I'll pop over there to add my $0.02, but I have noticed that in a process like this one, it often is a good idea to focus on analysis of issues in the main. What are the problems and how can we discuss/support discussion to find out what is really wrong first, look for solutions later. The subject of seasteading might be interesting, but topics like this (hints of possible solutions) seem to bring out the early assumptions by several parties and get us off track in the main discussion.

FYI, discussion forum posts are editable for 15 minutes after posting (the whole body of the post is clickable by the author), but apparently not comments on blog entries. If that's the case, I would consider it a bug.
