I've just created a group like the Energy Challenges, called Population. By joining that group and inviting like minded folks to join, you can start the needed discussion there. The general idea is to parse the problems into sub topics where we can focus discussions, but, at the same time cross reference these topics in appropriate ways. E.g. the population problem's impact on energy usage through both per capita and aggregate effects.
I hope you will take a kind of leadership position in forming this group and generating needed discussions.
Regards, and welcome aboard.
George
Great to have you here -- and enjoyed your observation on the forum about inserting the word "personal" in front of growth and development (which might form the basis for a revenue generating t-shirt to sell via the site or Threadless?).
If/when you have a transcript of the current rough cut of the film, I'll gladly have a first pass at mapping the arguments (if that would be of interest).

btw, i'm on the Green Cities Steering Committee with Steve Saint, et al. i'm the liaison to the TWG (Transportation Working Group). it is inescapable, for those of us who obsess on this subject, that good transportation (aka, mobility) is not a separate issue from smart land use. i'm sure that you get that.
we're trying to get all stakeholders to sit down and talk about the sustainable transportation (i.e., lack thereof) in Colo Spgs. Planning a Pow Wow for May 19th, 6pm - tentatively at Penrose/Carnegie Room. love to see you there. Geoff
