I'm a strategic communications and strategic research leader with a 15 year career spanning work in corporations, strategic consulting assignments (both in corporate strategy and with labor unions on complex restructuring and change initiatives) and political campaigns. I'm especially interested in the impact of identity and social capital on both individuals and organizations ability to collaborate on critical issues.
As a graduate student at Rutgers School of Communication and Information, I am particularly interested in questions of how stakeholders build trust, shared meanings and responsibility for desired outcomes over contentious public issues and the impact of social capital on voice and outcomes in stakeholder negotiations. I'm also interested in the impact of social media and web based news and information sources on political decision-making -- especially among high information voters.
