I'll be taking my comprehensives in January 2009. I'm just completing my last few classes now and would like to do my dissertation in the area of visual learning and group collaborations. It seems like each day I'm finding a new visual tool and it is becoming somewhat overwhelming! Do you know of a single 'compendium' that contains all the different types of tools that currently exist?
Thanks for joining us—and I look forward to learning more about your dissertation plans in due course.
We hope to draw together all of the teams working on related tools to explore, showcase and develop the state of the art and to encourage the use of all of the tools more widely in society; so if you identify any one else who you think might be interested please don't hesitate to send out an invitation.
Also, we are beginning to compile a directory of all the relevant tools on the GSm wiki here (to which any one is welcome to make additions).

In fact I am working on my phd this weekend :-) Still have some ways to go. I would like to finish in 2009.
Sure, let's discuss possible collaborations.
Thanks!
