mornin . need a chuckle? . this has it's problems and we can talk about that, but I still laugh every time i see it . one of my daughters sent me the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY6insZjCfU&feature=related . more later, lynn without an e . me, lynne with
what's this i hear about you being a do-gooder! and getting paid for it! . i used to be a do-gooder who got paid for it too, although not as a geek so not so very lucrative . oh dear, it was my experience that personal trainwrecks go with that territory . a buddhist monk once told me he loved trains because they were so consistnet, just listen! he said, clack a clack a clack a clack . until then trains had irritated me for their loudness, land grabbing and money grubbing history . sometimes my friends make me look again at my prejudices, like the time my friend from Lesoto sighed at the beauty of the cornfields as we drive by . i saw destroyed landscape and he saw food . hope you're feeling better now . the iran of today could be the groundswell of good tomorrow . it could happen
that's the trouble with email . it's so easy to misread meanings! . well yes, there IS beauty in everything, well said, or should i key, well keyed :) . i'll check out the link, thanks . i actually came very close to being a geology major instead of going into community development . back to more in front of this screen time next week . went swimming in a great trout stream pond today, washed my hair with safe for the water shampoo, cuddled someone's 6 mo old puppy, these after i helped my 84 yr old mom in her garden . life is good
yep, that's me, or an aspect of me, swooning over rocks and such :) i loved the geology in co when i was there for a few weeks bumming solo in the late 90s . couldn't figure out how to make a living doing that without raping the earth so i gave up on the academics of it . thought about environmental law, too . my grandma johnson always said that she and i knew that it was the little things that mattered . you got my number! . i've been skipping the fireworks for years, but sort of want to go with my grandkids next year . this year one's in the womb and the family is out of town . other/birth daughter coming for a visit from nm next week . wish i'd hurry up and find a job! poverty is grinding! arghhh . gotta go, dinner with mom (84) . and sweat lodge again tomorrow . see you on the keys next week without' :) with the e
where in the helix have you been? time to harvest the summer and feed our globally sensible friends . i'm hungry! . i'll dish a bushel o keystrokes if you're ready for a meal . where to put the plate, there's a question . the atmosphere here is pretty good :) me with e
ps . it's obvious my little paper is too simple to be of any interest to this net -- but my interest in dialogue isn't going to go away any time soon so i'll hang out here on and off and see if there's a way to connect with whatever holds this all together and make a contribution . she with e again
sounds familiar . i've not been emailing or networking online most of the summer . wanted to reconnect anyway . may whatever occupies you be fulfilling . the one with an e
i'm sure you're right but this network was what i ran across and like you, other things have my attention now . i am having good dialogue with a network member in the UK . he's been better than i at keying the communications though . my community development background makes me sort of foolishly fearless about treading in all of the angels' territory and all of the places they fear to tread besides, because as a generalist/professional collaborator (read networker) I don't expect myself to be able to do everything else but rather to connect everybody who needs to be connected to get what needs to be done done . if that makes sense . the e
sorry to be so dense, but what stuff is the pita you're referring to? .
and here here to reconnecting . particularly with winter's long cold coming . e
you are my cautious conscience concerning cyberspace and thank you . there was a time I/my progressive politics may have, well did, threaten the Nixon gang and I like everyone else politically active was bugged . the closest my life comes to concerning anyone right now is (your influence again :) my godkids language which is admittedly negative and atrocious and I am on Facebook to chat with them and recently cautioned them about f-wording and the like for the many reasons it is problematic . Facebook and this is enough for me right now . I keep not using Twine because, for example, two people wanted to connect and it wasn't working and I'm unable/willing to sit at a keyboard all day anyway, much less if it's just a pita! . how did you make Twine work for you? don't forget to activate that great sense of humor of yours :) maybe even lol even if it has to be at me with an e (see my denseness in other comment arghhhh)
OK laughter substitute needed . ever try the shakin' all over routine? stand with feet shoulder width apart and bounce lightly and rapidly up and down . even shake your head side to side so fast that your jowls jiggle . shake your hands . shake those hips . focus your attention from feet, to calves, to momma cows, and on up thru torso and shoulders, neck and head . shake it all out baby . bounce for at least 5-10 minites . clears the crud out . e
weeeellll . probably not :) but they're likely to seem different to you because as you get good at shaking it out (you can even do it in the bathroom if you're in a public place and even a couple minutes helps) their crud passes right through you instead of sticking because you're cleaned out and it's like wind through the air or across a tree branch . that's my experience anyway . get good enough at it and the wind shakes off the dead leaves and even the crudballs are giving you the gift of what you need to remove what's dying . just takes practice . like a life time . LOL
arghhhh . just about to log off and saw this . i was hurrying and that just barely makes sense . especially the part about wind in air? oh please! send this woman to the dunce chair :)
been out of town house sitting in the country where there was no computer the last couple of weeks . now it's me with the piles of stuff to do . with e
