I am a medical doctor living in Washington DC and Geneva Switzerland. I recently helped establish an entity whose core work is to strengthen corporate, government, university and non-profit organization partnerships through aggressive marketing and networking using both traditional forms of media (for example, film, TV, radio, theater, dance performances, art exhibits, fashion events, musical concerts, etc.) and new and innovative applications of internet-based social media and telecommunications technology to strengthen our country's response and recovery from natural and man-made disasters and particularly our ability to have the resilience to bounce back and be better prepared for the next inevitable catastrophe. Most of my time, however, is spent raising awareness and money for organizations that work to strengthen the education and health of children with very special needs. These are children who are homeless, abused, starving, illiterate, left orphaned or destitute by natural disasters, or traumatized by war. I am passionate about good food and wine and an avid naturalist. I enjoy few things more than walking my three dogs (two golden retrievers and a six week old Husky in our Shenandoah Mountains and valley.
